June 22, 2019

What is a Solstice

sol·stice

/ˈsōlstəs,ˈsälstəs/

noun

  1. either of the two times in the year, the summer solstice and the winter solstice, when the sun reaches its highest or lowest point in the sky at noon, marked by the longest and shortest days.

This years Summer Solstice was on Friday June 21st at 11:54am Eastern Time, marking the suns highest point in the sky and simultaneously the official start of summer.

The summer solstice asks us on a spiritual level to spend time out in nature & enjoy the sun. Slowing down and enjoying nature, while we look inside and rogue out where we want to go next.

Yogis ike to run their practice on sun salutations to give homage to the Sun. Normally there will be 108 rounds or 12 to honor each month as the Earth laps around the Sun.

So on this peak of summer, take the first week to enjoy the Sun, clean your home & work space. Meditate outside & figure out where you would like you life to go.
